This busy young family wanted to add character and personality to their large, 2002 Mediterranean style home. We worked together in phases, collecting art and materials slowly in order to bring a feeling of history to this relatively new construction. We replaced out-of-date finishes with timeless substitutions, swapping marble floors with terracotta tiles, canned ceiling lights with vintage fixtures, and stark white walls with warm plaster and Roman Clay. Architectural details, such as wainscotting, bookshelves, beams and crown molding, were added in order to create visual interest and story.
