Los Feliz

This mid-century Los Feliz marvel with sweeping views of the Los Angeles basin is a showcase for the client’s personality. A collector of outsider art, taxidermy, Navajo baskets, French posters and pre-Columbian art, the trick was to make it all work, together, in one marvelous room. Given the clients limited budget, we opted to leave the original wood paneling and focus on finding accents to modernize the space so that the outdated architectural features would appear intentional. The chandelier, a Scolari bought on Ebay, and a red Turkish rug, provide warmth and modernity while serving as a frame for the client’s unique collection.
